With the new year just around the block, Nike previews some dunk hi and low releases for 2009. Certainly aimed to keep the faithful fulfilled, the drop features a flurry of color combination’s, prints, materials and all out craziness. Check them out after the jump!

For the New Era fan out there and following in the footsteps of fellow Japanese-licensed brands, the New Era Book Vol. 1 presents itself as the hat-makers first foray into its own print magazine. The magazine done in conjunction with Warp Magazine features a look into upcoming New Era hats via both styling and product shots, interviews and also customary gifts with a hat-holder. Available now at select New Era dealers in Japan, however contact your local import book store for special-ordering.
In Nike Sportswear’s third installment of the Destroyer Pack, the brand keeps things consistent with a varsity jacket and Dunk High with the further addition of a sweatshirt as well. While previous Destroyer Packs were marked by a more luxurious approach including the use of wool on footwear and leather on jackets, this third generation release features a more casual approach with a gradient patent upper and a jacket comprised of a nylon body. The Destroyer Dunks have already hit select retailers.

Married to the Mob have released their “Worldwide” series fitted caps for the ladies in three colorways including a white/black, pink/white and grey. The caps feature an all over type font print with their trademark lipstick logo smacked on the side. All three can be picked up at the official MOB online store for $50 USD a piece
Various shoes from Nike’s Summer 2009 Collection have already made it into one mom and pop sneaker shop, even though they are samples, these shoes give us a great idea of what’s in store from Nike for the Summer 2009 season. Here we see part of what is being called the “Wii Pack” which is rumored to include 4 different shoes including the three shown here (Air Force II High, Sky Force High, and Air Max 95) while the other shoe in the pack is a Blazer. The Air Force II High looks strikingly similar to the Air Force II Low “Espo” that was released many years ago that had New York going crazy! The Air Max 95 uses a part of the Air Force II High’s upper on a portion of it’s upper while mixing in some premium leathers and some mesh as well in a nice Summer colorway of White and Grey. Perhaps the most interesting shoe in this preview is this Air Force 1 Low “Huarache”. In past seasons we’ve seen various interpretations of classic Nike shoes on the Air Force 1 silhouette and it seems like that concept is being done again on this all White Air Force 1 low with a nice “icy” outsole. Remember these are all sample versions of Nike’s Summer 2009 Collection, meaning the actual production shoes that will be sold during that season might not be completely the same. via Niketalk
Here is a closer look at the Nike SB Dunk Mid inspired by Spiderman in the colors of Marina and Black; there is another Dunk High that compliments this Dunk Mid as that shoe is inspired by Spiderman’s nemesis, Venom. This Dunk Mid though uses a simple color combination of Marina and Black along with some hits of Grey and Red. You can pick these up now at LTD-Online.
To coincide with the November release of the “Spiderman” Nike SB Dunk Mid, the Nike SB team will also be releasing this Dunk High Pro “Venom” inspired colorway of Black and White. We first reported on this years New Balance Luggage Collection back in July with a release date of August at Mita sneakers. It looks like the US is finally getting the shipment in as they just dropped at Finishline.com. While there were three in the collection, the above colorway in silver, black and red is perhaps the best from the collection. This material selection seems to resemble a style of fabric often associated with high end ballastic nylon luggage. Keeping in line with their usual Premium releases, Nike loads up this pair of Dunk Hi’s with a nice variety of popular textiles including nubuck, premium leather and houndstooth. Along with a two-tone colorway and tonal toebox, Nike hits these with a zoom air insole for the utmost comfort. Release is scheduled at select European accounts next week.
