SB RELEASE

Posted in Hot Kicks on September 7, 2008 by gumsole

Keeping with the canvas/suede styles of Nike SB’s upcoming Spring 2009 models, this Dunk Mid features a nice bright but congruous colorway. The front portion of the sneaker is french blue canvas, while the heel is yellow suede. As you can see, the heel contains a Charlie Brown-like zig-zag design. The pair also comes with round, brown dress laces. There is no word yet about when or if this pair will release but expect it to be a Spring 2009 release. via NikeSB.org / Gumsoles

Earlier this week we reported on the Dunk High and Low Studio iD Fall 2008 options at Nike iD Studios worldwide, yesterday, NikeSportswear.com launch the product online. The Dunk Low and Dunk High gets a new selection of premium leathers with up to twelve colors to choose from, including distressed metallic gold, silver and bronze. Three options are available for use on the toebox, side-panels, tongue and upper heel, the first is mesh in three colors – black, white and grey. A second option is a Beijing Olympics inspired jacquard fabric in white or black. The third option is based on a hero from the Olympics, a leopard print inspired by Jamaican runner Asafa Powell, a former world record holder and former fastest man on Earth. The pattern takes on inspiration from the Jamaican colors as well the pattern from the cheetah. Our design above takes inspiration from the classic golden rod Dunk High but using the new fabric options. Create your own atnikesportswear.com.

NIKE SHARKLY

Posted in Hot Kicks on September 7, 2008 by gumsole

The Nike Sharkley is one of the many enduring legacies of the great Charles Barkley.  A shoe designed for both indoor and outdoor use on the court, the styling of these shoes is definitely pretty unique.  This latest model of the Sharkley comes covered in 3M, giving it quite the shining personality when exposed to light.  The colorway is definitely sick, with the mainly grey upper accented by some nice touches of teal and purple.  No word on a general release; due to the “701″ stitching on the heel, they appear to be a possible one-off for sevenzro1 of the NikeTalk boards.  Via sevenzro1 at NikeTalk.

Nike SB will once again be releasing an Australia exclusive Dunk Low, previously a few years ago Nike SB had released the “Homer” Dunk Low’s only in Australia and now they will be releasing another special pair but this time inspired by the city of Melbourne and Flinders Street Station. The Dunk Low comes in Varsity Royal and Metallic Vegas Gold with a number of different materials including canvas, suede, and mesh. The inspiration comes from Melbourne’s Finder Street Station and the “Gold Rail” that has been one of the more infamous skate spots down under. The Blue used on the shoe is a representation of Port Phillip Bay while the Brown midsole is a representation of the Yurra River. These will be released this month only in Melbourne at select Nike SB retailers. via NikeSB.org
