f you are deep on your SB game, then you already know about the “Ross Dunks” from about 5 years back, which were white, black and grey canvas dunk lows, which are believed to be the prototype SB Dunk Lows. This white canvas Dunk Mid, which is available this Saturday, feels like a homage to those “Ross Dunks”. Even if it has nothing to do with the “Ross Dunks” and is just a white canvas SB Dunk Mid; they are still extremely fresh to def! My only thing about this shoe is that it is white canvas, and nothing picks up smudges and dirty fingerprints more than a white canvas upper! If you don’t use a protective spray on this shoe, and you wear it out, then you certainly should know what to expect when they get absolutely filthy after your first time rocking ‘em.

ACG need I say more
Posted in Hot Kicks with tags Nike ACG on September 6, 2008 by gumsoleAs Nike ACG comfortably establishes its place in the outdoor market, a recent interview with designer Andrea Corradini sheds some light on the design philosophy and direction of Nike ACG. In the process two shoes became the focus of the talk as it featured the womens Nike ACG Valenka boot as well as the Nike ACG Blazer. The ACG Blazer takes its obvious inspirations from the hardwood classic Blazer with revamped technology and styles to make the transition beyond the pounding of regular pavement and onto the unbeaten path. The Valenka boot looks to traditional Russian winter boots as it combines the concept with the production process’ of Nike’s eco-friendly Considered initiative. The use of solvent-free construction made way for special webbings that doesn’t hamper the performance benefits of the shoe as well, the designers also found a way to incorporate a completely waterproof inner-bootie. Also a topic of discussion was the inclusion of well-known American wool-makers Pendleton as they contributed to both the footwear and apparel side of things. Read the whole interview over at Sneaker Freaker.
