More photos have surfaced regarding the Melbourne exclusive Nike SB Dunk Low, the “Gold Rail”. Inspired by the iconic Flinders Street Station and its gold rail, the shoe features a multi-material upper with canvas, suede and mesh. The colors were allegedly chosen based on the Port Phillip Bay (varsity royal blue) and the brown midsole representing the Yarra River. Available in October at all fine Melbourne Nike SB dealers.

Nike SB High ” The Shoe Goo”

Posted in Hot Kicks with tags on September 22, 2008 by gumsole

As a younger young lad, my wardrobe was limited by my financial means, which consisted of a minimum wage part time job and hustling baseball cards and comic books-point being that whatever items I did buy: clothes, shoes, etc. I made sure I got the maximum wear out of them. I had this one pair of Lotto sneakers that I was mad attached to; I would rock it ALL the time…to the point of the sole separating from the upper, and we all know what the remedy for when your shoe turns into a puppet: SHOE GOO. This SB Dunk High takes cues from the iconic tube of glue that has held together many a sneaker for me.

Nike Air Flight Light

As a witness to the Chicago Bulls reign over the NBA in the 90’s, I can still remember Pip wearing those classic Nike air flights while terrorizing the opposition. In the latest series of flight lite high retros, we get a look at the Bulls reminiscent colorway featuring the all too familiar red/white/black colorway. Along with a high top feature, the kicks provide excellent ankle support and comfort for playing ball or simply just looking fly.

Mad Foot presents the official boot

Posted in Hot Kicks with tags on September 15, 2008 by gumsole

While much of the 2008 fall/winter collection’s October releases from Mad Foot! include some rather gaudy designs with Nike Zvezdochka-esque Mad Daaam 1s and liberally decorated snakeskin Mad Witness Los, there is a light at the end of the tunnel as the releases are offset by three versions of the Mad Lander. The hiking boot derivative features solid leather uppers with the matching of tonal snakeskin materials which should be almost entirely covered up by your pants anyways. Look for these to release at select retailers next month.
